Visiting groups are always very welcome. We offer guided tours and can organise talks and presentations on a range of subjects, tailored to your group's specific interests.
We are able to accommodate up to 100 guests at a time. Guided tours are available by arrangement, and these are conducted by one or more of our expert guides, depending on the size of your group.
Guides tours of the Abbey usually take about an hour, and there is a charge of £5.40 per person, which goes directly towards the maintenance of the building.
Your group is also welcome to enjoy ‘The Big Story’, our interactive exhibition that brings the history of the Abbey to life. This is free of charge.
The Refectory Café can cater for visiting groups, by prior arrangement. Meals and refreshments can be taken in the Café itself, in the courtyard, or in one of the beautiful rooms that make up our Priory Buildings.
The coach drop-off point for visitors is outside the Abbey Gift Shop, which offers postcards, guide books and a range of mementos of your visit. We offer a special group discount on guide books - please ask the Abbey Administrator in advance of your visit, or enquire at the shop when you arrive.
