Wedding receptions

We welcome couples of all faiths and none – you don’t need to be married in Hexham Abbey to have your wedding reception here.

Our recently refurbished Priory Buildings stand right beside Hexham Abbey. They offer a fantastic choice of rooms to suit large and small receptions. The elegant Great Hall with its Regency decorated ceiling, and west facing windows overlooking the Abbey Grounds, will seat up to 120 for a meal, with plenty of room for dancing later. We also have smaller rooms for more intimate wedding parties.
We are fully licenced, and our spacious kitchen enables caterers to prepare your wedding buffet or meal. We can put you in touch with recommended caterers who can suggest seasonal menus for formal dining, buffet or finger buffet food.
